The problem

The client needed a mobile app that would help people take one small, positive environmental action each day. The goal was to make sustainability tangible, engaging, and consistent through a well-designed digital experience

The solution

Delivered a clean, mobile-native interface focused on encouragement, and positive reinforcement, easy to implement, where people could take short, actionable challenges, a space to share and discuss and features to motivate them and help them with habit formation.

Impact

Launched successfully on the App Store and embraced by environmentally conscious users. Encouraged daily participation and accountability through social and personal feedback loops

Leaderboards

I designed the leaderboard experience to introduce friendly competition and community visibility. The goal was to motivate users by showing their global and local rankings. I also crafted a monthly recap mechanism that summarizes personal impact and drives ongoing engagement. I focused on clarity, visual hierarchy, and reward-driven UI patterns to enhance user motivation.

Daily saves

Daily saves

The Daily Saves feature was designed to deliver bite-sized daily challenges that are globally synchronized. I wanted to create a sense of shared mission and momentum where users could act locally but feel part of something bigger. The interface enables interaction and gratitude via short video messages, making sustainability social, expressive, and habitual.

Personal progress

To reinforce long-term habit formation, I designed the progress screen to visualize individual impact clearly and meaningfully. I introduced categorized tracking (e.g., CO2 saved) and tangible results that tie user actions to environmental metrics. The monthly recap component was crafted to feel both personal and celebratory, boosting retention and self-awareness.
